Internships

Mostly Medicinals, LLC^TM offers a year round internship program, in exchange for a commitment of 5 hours a week for a minimum of four months. Interns will receive valuable hands on experience and learning on how to propagate medicinal herbs from seed, cuttings and division. We will go over timing of seed starting, soil mixes, pest and greenhouse management and proper watering techniques. We will also discuss strategies for starting and maintaining a business. There are plenty of opportunities for learning more.

Interns will also eligible to take a class with accomplished herbalist Jo Powell, founder of the Northwest School of Herbalism and attend an herb walk through the Arctos School of Herbal and Botanical Studies. Through these classes and other opportunities at Mostly Medicinals, LLC^TM participants will become familiar with the various resources and opportunities available in the Portland area.

We are usually open for interns and additional help Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons and Fridays. There is also an opportunity to gain market experience in our booth at Portland Farmers Market at Portland State University in downtown Portland on Saturdays. We are working at full steam March through June. July and August still has plenty to do and it picks up again in September through October.
